First let me pay my respects to  Ahmed Darwesh one of the most beautiful of souls,  and to all family, friends and colleagues, may God comfort you at this trying moments. I mean I never met him at a personal level yet I feel the loss. I can Imagine what all of you must  be going through.

Nothing indeed prepares us for Death.

Now, 12th December marked the third edition of the much anticipated Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards, which took place at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The theme was ‘Fashion is freedom’

ABRYANZ Awards

Many graced the occasion including African artists, stylists, Socialites and other fashion lovers with each nominee hoping to win (obviously). There were performances from Sauti Sol, Tonix, Bebe Cool, Nigeria’s RnB Artist, Banky W hit among others.

Our very own Capital FM’s Gaetano Kaggwa and Kenyan socialite, Vera Sidika, were the MC’s of the night.

Well the event had its own fair share of drama when apparently a naked dressed lady was close to taking the award for best dressed. I have to admit though, I don’t know what that means. Was she naked or skimpily dressed? Anyway…

The awarding event was sponsored by Cheki, Capital FM,  NTV Uganda among others.

Her Royal highness Princess Elizabeth Bagaya Nyabongo of Toro won the Lifetime Style & Fashion Icon Achievement Award 2015. She is reported to be a force to reckon with in Fashion, entertainment and her political Career.

But was it all glitz and glamour?

First to the Mc’s. I must ms. Sidika killed it in that white dress. wait till you see the back.

ABRYANZ RUNWAY And the Run way for the Lauma latest lingerie collection. Am going to refrain from singling out the white one. HAHHAaHA! I refuse to comment.

I love the detail of this dress. I wish that star detail on the back was bare. stunning still

Star dressThen there are those who went for yellow. uuuhhhmm no comments. I mean not in a bad way. In a “I dont know what to say kinda way. The African inspired dress, I don know its ok.

ABRYANZ YELLOWI wish I could give you a better view of the  black dress. Find a way. we will get to the guy in a few. *wink*

abryanzLets cross over to the dudes. First off sauti sol. Check out Bien looking so innocent. Who are you trying to fool dude!

Abraynz_Sauti_SolThis particular one got me coz of their shoes. So unique yet its like each is holding on to their own individuality.

SAUTI SOL SHOES Does this style have a name? I love people who take fashion risks and try out different stuff and get creative. But this look on the gentleman. This look, ok next.

men styleFinally. The only reason I added this to the list is because it reminds me of a fashion event I attended 2 months back, a certain model on the run way was wearing an oversize lingerie. You know the ones with side strings. Darlings, there is no way to make that fit you no matter how much you pull the strings. It was hanging in all the wrong places(if you know what I mean).

But she was so pretty I decided to focus on her face. lol!  This one is ok though. Not mouth watering but ok. ok wrong choice of words. Not sexy but ok. better? Her skin is glowing though, would you look at those legs!
