Fashion Hero: From The Rejected To The Accepted

Today’s opportunity is for models, and anyone who would like to go down that road or try something new. No you don’t have to be the “typical” size model. It’s all about the unconditional beauty.

The Fashion Hero is a new ground-breaking competition series in which participants who represent the fashion consumers of all walks of life have the chance to live out their dreams and accomplish what was once seen as impossible.

The Fashion Hero turns the rejected into the respected and empowers real people from around the world. These models will compete in a series of extremely challenging events while tackling physical and emotional struggles to prove that that unconventional beauty can indeed become the new norm in the industry.

This is the first television series of its kind, shaking up the fashion and beauty industries by beating down the unrealistic and unattainable standards and redefining the current definition of “beauty”.

It’s not about height, size or the color of our skin. It’s about personal style and self-expression. It’s about being confident and comfortable in our own skin. The mission is to flip the social conventions and create a model search for the new world.

Anyone between the ages of 16 and over! Men and women from all around the world are invited to participate regardless of height, size, ethnicity, orientation, or style preference.

Simply create a profile on thefashionhero.com. Upload your photos & videos telling designers why they should choose you and promote your profiles through your social media and word of mouth in order to obtain votes. 

The more votes, the higher the chance to make it as a finalist in The Fashion Hero

Every month, the top 3 participants to receive the highest number of votes during a given month will have the chance be invited to the filming of a local or international season of The Fashion Hero.

Additionally, other participants can be considered for the cast based on their unique profiles, strong social media involvement, voter popularity and/or a concerted effort to be a part of The Fashion Hero. 

Each designer/brand will be selecting 1 winner to appear in one of their upcoming advertising campaigns! Winners will also be featured across The Fashion Hero’s social media, website and marketing materials

So who are the designers?

Anna Scholz; she has dressed many celebrities such as Ashley Graham, Jill Scott, Queen Latifah , Adele , Beth Ditto, Lisa Riley, Aretha Franklin, Macy Gray, Alison Moyet and Dawn.

What she is looking for in a model: “for that little extra star quality. I look for confidence, personality and individuality and someone who knows how to move/pose well. My favourite Maya Angelou Poem describes best” it the

Christopher Bates; in 2009, Bates was featured as one of the top six leading menswear designers in Canada by Sharp Magazine. In 2012, he was selected as the only menswear designer in the Mercedes-Benz StartUp Program and was awarded with a sponsored show at Toronto Fashion Week. In 2014, he was included in Canada’s Top 100 Most Influential People (Alberta Youth Congress). He was also nominated for the 2014 and 2015 Notable Award for Fashion in Canada (Notable.ca) and the 2015 and 2016 Canadian Menswear Designer of the Year Award (CAFA).

Johana Hernandez; founder of GLAUDI, an avant-garde collection Designed for woman who stands out for her success and style. GLAUDI specialty is Haute Couture dresses and Bridal.

Johana was Nominated by PEOPLE magazine en Espanol in 2014 ’25 most powerful woman’ , Latina Magazine ’30 favorite stars under 30′ & ‘Designers on the Rise’, and Alegria Magazine ’10 most influential Latinas in Los Angeles’ Johana Hernandez was honored for her success as a hardworking and inspriing designer. 2013 Johana Hernandez starred on NBC’s reality designer competition series “Fashion Star” she was the winner of the FIAT designer campaign and mentored by Nichole Richie.

Ximena Valero;  opened a Fashion Photography Studio in San Diego, where she and a group of creative friends offered photography services to aspiring models, model agencies, designers, brides, professionals, companies, brands and anybody that might have needed a portrait taken.

At 24, worked as a designer for the most recognized lingerie firm in the world, ”Victoria’s Secret”  she co-founded “New York Fashion Group “ – a fashion photo studio offering fashion photography services to very important corporate and individual clients such as Yoko Ono, Ford Models, Elite Models, Maybelline, Victoria’s Secret, and a then unknown Lady Gaga, among many others.

Her idea of beauty:”comes from acknowledgement that we all are unique.
Beauty is to own our uniqueness. To me owning our authenticity is being beautiful.”

 

In addition to changing the world beauty standards, The Fashion Hero is committed to promoting health and well-being on a global scale through various organizations, working to tackle the many issues people face regarding body image and self-esteem with their foundation.
