MAKEKE OTOSIM 2017 COLLECTION

“ MAKEKE NI MOTO WA KUOTEA MBALI” I don’t even know how to translate this one. Someone help me here.

When you think of Jocktan Makeke two things come to mind; hard work and creativity. One of Africa’s fierce designers!

This can be seen through his never ending creations and promotion of his work. Makeke is one person I always see on the move. From East Africa Fashion Week, to Rwanda cultural fashion show, Makeke has managed to create a niche for himself and we love the cultural presentation.

And this year he brings yet another one of his creations dubbed Otosim “On the other side of Makeke. The creations have already been showcased on Zanzibar Swahili Festival and all I can say is Makeke knows how to represent Africa in terms of cultural art.

Sorry for those who don’t understand Swahili, wish I could translate, but I am going to post this as received. (An interview is forthcoming so stay updated)

“Unapomuongelea MAKEKE si jina geni kwenye Tathnia ya mitindo Tanzania na Afrika kwa ujumla, Mwaka Jana alikuja na collection ya aina yake iliyoitwa TABID – The African Beauty in The darkness, ( uzuribwa afrika gizani) collection hio imefanya vzuri sana 2017/2017 kwan imeoneshwa kwenye Majukwaa mbalimbali makubwa ya Mitindo, Lakini mwaka huu mwanamitindo huyu asiyeishiwa MAKEKE amekuja na kitu kipya kabisa, kinaitwa OTOSIM2017 – ON THE OTHER SIDE OF MAKEKE, akiwa na maana ya ladha/ubunifu  Wa aina Nyingine.
