sleep wear Trend: taking pajama out and yes, we are in

The sleep wear, in this case pajama style did not start this year. And while we thought it is just an individual taste soon to fade away, it stuck, gradually coming up and yaaas! it is now a trend that we are seeing in the streets and at even work places.(depends with your job) even Zara had to launch a floral collection.

I am not one to follow trends, but I am so feeling this now. We saw it with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez and the rest, but I must admit our African girls make this trend oooh so sexy!

Bonang Matheba is a fashion queen no doubt about that. So when she tries the sleep wear into day wear you know she is not gonna be playing. And yes! She slayed it! how can I forget stylist Empress Jamila and Chic Ama! Our black Queens make us very proud.

Who would have thought that silk and satin PJs, which we sometimes even hate to sleep in, or just opt for during our lazy days in the house, would be styled so elegantly and stepped out in? I mean can you imagine the comfort? So easy and chic.

If you are thinking of following this trend but you are a bit skeptical, you don’t have to go all in with the matching set. Just start “small” you know a silk long coat or robe as a jacket, a lace camisole with jeans etc. But if you are totally in, get those heels and slay it!
