Last month saw the unveiling of the Red sea collection by TIR Fashion House, and my oh my breath taking. The ruffles, the sheers, styling of the hat and it seems thigh high slits are not exiting yet. Described as African authenticity aimed at the young at heart and fashionistas who themselves are the epitome of elegance, grace and style.
The collection depicts boldness portrayed by the red. I personal think it’s bold and sexy. TIR Fashion House creates unique, chic and trendy designs with elaborate finish embroidery not shying away from beads and lace.
The brand was successfully launched in Harare (Zimbabwe), with an aim to expand into the rest of Southern Africa, providing access to quality, unique, fashionable African wear to fashionistas in Zimbabwe and the region.
Since its launch the house boasts a number of awards and nominations such as the Emerging Designer Of The Year, Africa Fashion Week 2014, Best Fashion House Zimbabwe Model Awards 2015 and Creative Visionary Award, African Women Awards 2015 just to mention a few.
The Red Sea collection features actress and TV personality Nancy Isime who in my opinion looks like a goddess in this collection. The execution is so stunning one would think the designs were created with her in mind. Probably her modelling background helped her to deliver this so well.
“The red sea collection to me is a combination of two things, boldness and might. The boldness is being represented by the colour red whilst the might is being represented by the sea. The sea is boundless, limitless, and holds so much splendor, that to me describes the essence of a woman; Said Danielle Allen, Founder of the TIR Fashion House and Creative behind the brand.
The Red Sea collection was also recently showcased at the recently concluded Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2016, supported by the Zimbabwean starlets such as TV Personality Vimbai Muthiniri alongside Actress/Producer, Memory Savannhu. Also supporting the show were the Nigeria Fashion Icon, Mai Atafo, Tayo Afolabi, the CEO of World PR Media and Founder of the Luxury Beauty Brunch, Stephanie Kalu-Uche and Footballer Kalu Uche.
The collection shows various ways in which a woman might want to portray herself, sometimes she is the “boss”which is illustrated on the long sleeveless suit jacket, sometimes she is alluring, sometimes she is captivating but our closing piece is my favourite which shows that above all, she is always the queen of her own world”.
